Milestone Moments

In Africa there is a saying "When an old person dies, it's like burning a library!"

My father, Harry is 89 and writing his memoirs of wartime stories and his time in East Africa. I am in a fortunate position to read these stories as they are written. The experience for me has had a profound effect. It made me focused on the realisation that so quickly we lose a generation of anecdotes, thoughts and value lessons.

As a filmmaker I want to preserve some of these as a legacy for inspiration and knowledge for all generations. I have started to filming a series of short 3 to 4 minute films of people with something to share with the world over the Internet. The film above was commissioned by a client, but it stimulated the idea. Watch this space to see another very soon.
